Announcing the RapidOSS beta program

Since we have released the first version of RapidOSS, our business services dashboard solution, we have been working hard on the next version. We have listened carefully what people in the field tell us, what the most common difficulties they face, and focused on improving RapidOSS to address those needs.

We're excited about the outcome, and we are almost there.

Today, we're announcing the beta program for RapidOSS for Smarts v2.0, our IT operations dashboard solution. RapidOSS is designed to provide access to IT operations information from a web browser and is tightly integrated with Smarts. We're looking for Smarts users who are willing to participate in the beta program and try RapidOSS. We're confident that it will provide significant value to Smarts users.

Given the limited availability of resources customers have, we have taken number of steps to ensure a smooth process that minimizes the burden on our customers:

• RapidOSS for Smarts is a complete package, ready for use. It has no dependencies (except Smarts of course), and can be installed and configured within minutes.

• RapidOSS is tightly integrated with Smarts, yet operates independently. It can be installed on any host that has access to the Smarts server over the network ( It does not have to be on the same host with Smarts)

• A developer will be assigned to work directly with each beta participant throughout the beta period to fine tune the product to specific needs of the customers.

Some RapidOSS capabilities that may be off interest to Smarts users may be:

• simple, light, web-based user interface for non-technical users

• integrated view of real-time and historical notifications

• presentation of notifications in the context of the business services

• customizable state calculation and impact propagation logic

• presentation of related data from other management systems (such as ticketing, etc.) via the same UI

• custom actions via in-context menus
