Hello,
iFountain has done a good job in integrating vairous ESM modules in RapidInsight, is there any plans to integrate Events from Tivoli Enterprise console?
As of now, RapidInsight Database plugin (part of RI server) can be used to integrate with TEC. AFAIK, the events are stored in a DB2 table, and RI can retrieve TEC events via JDBC and create events in RI, etc. without requiring a specialized plugin.
This is how the integration with Netcool Omnibus was done as well. Integration was initially done via the database plugin, and later on packaged as Netcool plugin with the addition of various functionality that makes the integration smoother.
We also do plan on developing a specific plugin for TEC that goes beyond the basic integration. Would you be open to collaborating on development of this integration?
May be we can discuss what we can do over phone/chat ?
