Hi Buddies,

I just went through the platform and think it's fantastic. Would like to explore the UTF8 support "how to".

I tryied to modify some .gsp file with some labels in Japaness, and saved in UTF-8 file format, then it shows right characters. Not sure it's the right way to do it.

Appreciate any advice here.

Hi David, RapidOSS and its

Hi David,

RapidOSS and its underlying datastore supports UTF-8 by default . When a browser opens a RapidOSS url, browser will also set its encoding to UTF-8 , you can check this from Browser > View > Encoding .

But some files ( gsps & others ) are not saved in UTF-8 encoding, you need to save them with UTF-8 format from your text editor, just like you did before. That is exactly the right way to do.

If you have any other questions, we will be happy to answer them.
