RapidOSS Online Demo

This demo is a live, sample RapidOSS implementation running on our server with simulated data and NOT a canned demo, as such, a user account on this website is required to use the demo. The live demo is the best way to get a feel for how the applications can be used, however screencasts (recorded demos) are also available if you don't want to create an account.

RapidOSS sample configuration demonstrated here is assumed to consolidate inventory and events data from different management systems and present information to users in various tabs:

Events tab shows events in traditional grid view. Users can filter events using the query box, use predefined queries, etc. Event actions are available by clicking on the triangle icon at each row. Different views can be created and associated with the queries

Event search tab presents events in a view optimized to create and save queries to find the relevant information. Users can type keywords in the search box and click on values to refine their queries without writing SQL, or complex expressions manually. Actions are available per each property as well as per event as it is in the events menu. Notice that saved queries are available for use in the events view as well.

Events don't get removed from RapidOSS and available via the same UI! Historical events tab is similar to event search tab but shows old (inactive) events, instead of the active events.

Inventory tab presents information available in the inventory (devices, interfaces, ports, cards, etc.) This information is typically collected from in-house databases, spreadsheets, other management systems, etc.

Maps tab presents the network topology graphically. Users can use automatic layouts (hierarchical, circular) or organize nodes in the map manually and save the maps. You can use "Show Map" menu action in Inventory or Events tabs to see the network around a specific device, and click on plus sign to expand. Note that maps require Flash v9!

Service View tab presents business services and their dependencies in a hierarchical tree. Users can click on a service to see the events relevant to that service as well as a pie chart that displays distribution of events by severity as an example.

Device View tab presents device information (events, containment, etc.) collected from various sources together. Users can use the auto-complete enabled search box to find the device and see the relevant information. Users can browse through the inventory by clicking on the links to see information on related objects.

This is not a canned demo but a live server and you will be able to use them with your own user account, not with a demo user, hence a user account needs to be created on this site through a simple registration process.
